Cooper's Hawk Golf Community and the golf course fulfills the childhood visions of Ben Cooper. While in his teens he sat under an old Oak tree and dreamed of the day the pasture before him would be a Championship golf course. To the benefit of this small rural town of 1700 citizens his dreams have become a reality. The town of Melbourne Arkansas not only has a golf course but also a place where its' citizens can meet on common ground and stage community tournaments and other social events.
Having been a resident of Carmel California and playing the surrounding "Glory Courses" that abound there I can honestly say I enjoy "The Hawk" for its' playability as much as any course on the Monterey Peninsula. I think.........even more important, I enjoy the essence of community spirit that abounds on Cooper's Hawk.
