Considered to be the more difficult than the back, the front nine has the challenge of holes 1 and 4. Number 1 has a fairway bordered on both sides by established Oak and Pine. A good drive and long approach shot to an elevated green makes this the most challenging hole on the course. Number 4 is not really a difficult hole other than the psychological effect of hitting over water. Nice homes are bordering but completely safe from wayward golf shots on this portion of the course. The number of home sites are restricted to a mere ninety, spread out over approximately 50 acres.
